Layering in the winter is so crucial right now especially with these chilly temps! My least favorite thing about layering is feeling stuffed. Feeling like you cant move because you have so many thick layers on is NOT fun! And it honestly deters me from dressing nicely sometimes because wearing layers in sweats is much more comfortable we all know that.

I have a few tips for layering that make you feel more comfortable and less stuffed!

Tips for Layering in the Winter

1. Make sure your bottom layer is very fitted.

I am wearing a body suit that is a sweater material in this look but any fitted shirt, turtleneck, or light sweater will do! This will make you feel like stuffed.

2. Make sure your bottom layer is fairly thin.

The body suit I have on is a fairly thin sweater material. Even though it is thin, it is so so warm. You want to start with your base layer being the most thin and add thicker and thicker layers.

3. If you feel too “stuffed” with your coat on, put it over your shoulders instead.

Having a coat over your shoulders still keeps you so warm but it doesn’t leave you feeling like you cant move. It also makes for such a chic look.
