Buying gifts for guys can be really, really tricky. If I had it my way I would probably get Tim clothes for every gift. However, he would NOT like that. And theres honestly nothing worse than getting someone you love a gift that they don’t like!
On the flip side, theres no better feeling than hitting the nail on the head with a gift, when the person you’re giving it to absolutely loves it.
Last week Tim turned 21 (🍻!!), so I wanted to do something special for his birthday that specifically had to do with turning 21 (ahem, not clothes…).
After fishing around for a little bit I found a couple small things and decided to make a little 21/beer themed basket.
What I Included in the 21 Themed Birthday Basket
1. Brownies with Beer Toppers
I found these adorable little beer toppers on Amazon and stuck them in brownies. Mini cans of Budweiser, Pabst Blue Ribbon, and Coors Light are all included in this 24 pack.
FYI, I had to cut them so that they didn’t stick through the other edge (I think they were mean’t for cake).
2. Hoppy Birthday Napkins
To go along with the brownies, I grabbed some of these cute beer birthday napkins.
3.”RIP Fake Id” Banner
The banner is the gold letters that are piled up in the basket. I thought the banner was a cute idea for pictures. Tim thought it was too “girly”… I don’t know if thats just Tim or all boys… so do with that what you will (lol)!
4. 1999 Beer Stein
This glass beer stein says “1999 aged to perfection, cheers to 21 years.” 1999 being his birth year! A cute keepsake for your guy to remember his 21st birthday (or not)….
5. Needlepoint UVA Rotunda Flask
The “big” gift I got for Tim was the Smathers and Branson needlepoint UVA Rotunda flask.
If you happen to need a gift for a UVA student or yourself, the Rotunda scene also comes in several other needlepointed items like a wallet, belt, and key fob, and bottle opener. These would make great gifts for an UVA student, for any occasion.
I really think Smathers and Branson has fantastic gifts, especially for college-specific items. They personalize many of their items with a broad array of schools so you likely would be able to find one with the school you’re looking for! They also have personalized greek life items.
