Before jumping back into posting about lighthearted fashion, travel, and lifestyle I wanted to write on a more serious note. This year has been full of challenges for most people in the world. Everyone has their battles right now, especially those of the Black community.
When things are tough, I lean on Jesus. These three verses have truly helped me feel hopeful and reassured in my most discouraged state. And so, I simply want to share them with the intent that they will help someone else out there.
1. Romans 8:28
Most importantly right now we need to work together for goodness. We need to reflect God’s love. There really is not much else to say here.
2. Esther 4:14
God puts each and every one of us where we are for a reason. We were meant for such a time as this. Perhaps we are being called upon by the Lord right now.
3. Jeremiah 29:11
Jeremiah 29:11 seems very resonant in regards to the uncharted waters of Coronavirus. God has plans for each and every one of us. He has our future’s all laid out. I’ve been struggling recently with feeling a sense of purpose and this verse helps me remember God has a future, and a plan, and a hope. He is a way-maker, a miracle-worker, and a light in the darkness.
My wish is that these verses give you, too, some hope during this time.
On another note, I am loving my new Bible I got from my parents for my birthday. It is a “She Reads Truth Bible” handpainted by Wheat and Honey Co. They have such beautiful Bibles! It was such a meaningful gift I will cherish forever.
