Happy September! Truly one of my favorite months. As sad as I am to watch summer fade away, I love the month of September and love fall. Let’s get into this months palette-
In terms of color…
Currently I am obsessed with chocolate brown, especially paired with shades of blue. I also am obsessed with navy blue right now which I feel like is not traditionally a fall tone. However, it is all I can think about right now. I literally just got my nails painted navy! I also am loving chocolate brown paired with grey. They are more rich neutrals that feel more autumnal.
In terms of favorites…
Fall Footwear
I am super fixated on fall footwear. I am ready to ditch the sandals and bring out the ballet flats, boots, and loafers. I just purchased these satin ballet slippers from Loeffler Randall and cannot wait for them to come in! The color is so good!
Chocolate Suede Bags
Like I mentioned earlier, I have an obsession with chocolate brown right now. Especially in bags for fall. I think I need every single on of these.
Slip Skirts
Slip skirts are perfect for transitional dressing. They are easy to layer with tanks or tees and a sweater. They are also airy for cool mornings and hot afternoons! I am obsessed with mine from J.Crew and wear it all the time.
Patch Pocket Denim Trousers
I love a patch pocket. It is a perfect little detail on denim. I also love trouser-esque denim to give a little more of a polished look. They can be dressed up with heels and automatically create a tres chic look!
Silk Scarves
A favorite accessory for transitional dressing. Silk scarves are amazing for pulling a look together with fun color combinations. I love them tied around your neck, hair, or on a bag. Of course Hermes has the most beautiful silks scarves, but you can find them for much, much less and still look extremely elegant.
Lady Jackets
They’re going absolutely no where and that is very much okay with me! They truly are the perfect transitional piece of clothing for this time of year though. It is the perfect light layer and always makes an outfit 100x more chic! I love this new blue one from J.Crew. Click here to read my whole post on lady jackets from last spring.
