Everyone knows that October is an elite month. The air is crispy the leaves are changing. Sweater weather is among us. This month is about transitional styling, boots, chunky sweaters, and pops of red and burgundy. It is about pulling out all of those coats and vests you forgot about in the back of your closet and getting excited to about them all over again!
Here are my October favorites…
Toggle Coats
I love the kind-of retro feel of a toggle coat. I especially love this one from Mango but all of these are so cute.
Sleeveless Cashmere Turtlenecks
About a week ago I got this sleeveless cashmere turtleneck from Reformation. I love it so much, the cut of it is very flattering! It is honestly the perfect base layer for this time of year. I find myself layering/ styling so much with tanks in the summer and long sleeve turtlenecks in the winter. So, this is kind of the perfect in between for under blazers and jackets!
Hair Accessories
A tortoise barrette is kind having a moment right now. I also am loving black and red cotton headbands like this one.
Pops of Red and Burgundy
Pops of red is the trend of FW23. It is everywhere and I think everyone is into it. Burgundy will also always be a favorite of mine for fall!
Knee High Boots
I love pairing knee high boots with mini skirts and dresses (or even shorts!) this time of year. It is perfect for the in between temps.
Cable Knit Cardigans
It is cable knit cardi season! Obsessed with this one from J.Crew with the little ruffle collar.
