Happy Friday! I think everyone can agree that stress has been inevitable this year, and especially this week. But it is so important to take a step back and remember our mental health is always a priority.

So today I thought it would be beneficial to give my best tips to help stay calm during stressful times. I am no expert and I am just sharing what has worked for me to calm my anxiety and stress, so take what you want and leave what you don’t! I also am a firm believer relief of stress doesn’t just come from one thing. There is no magic pill. You have to mix physical things, with mental things, with products etc. to see what works for you! So here are 5 ways to stay calm this week (and honestly this whole year 🥺).

1. Take a Bath with Leef CBD Bath Tea

I have always been an advocate for baths. They always seem to soothe and relax me. Even better, my favorite CBD brand Leef, has a “bath tea” that you can steep into your bath. Along with CBD the bath tea includes other herbs like lavender and Moroccan rose that really help you relax. It is truly an aromatic and calming experience.

By the way, you can use my code ANNIECULBERTSON15OFF for 15% anything on the Leef website! 😊

2. Take Olli Stress Gummies

I honestly swear by these things. I take them almost everyday when I am feeling anxiety creep in. They always help. I usually buy them in store at Target or on Amazon if I can’t run out to the store. Plus these gummies are all natural and they actually taste good.

3. Yoga and use Leef CBD Recovery Stick

Like I said earlier, you need to mix and match physical activity with products with mental things to find the perfect concoction that helps you negate stress in your life. I personally love Yoga because it is as psychical as it is mental. While you move your body, you give you mental space a break. I also think that walking outside with quiet music can give a similar effect if yoga isn’t your cup of tea.

After running, walking, or doing yoga I love to use this CBD recovery stick on my muscles. It has a similar feeling to icy hot but because it has CBD in it, it calms your entire body. It is amazing.

4. Diffuse Lavender Oil

I have this ceramic diffuser from Target and I love it. First, its adorable and not an eye sore. Second, it’s a great price, under $30. Third, it really works well and its quiet but the perfect amount of white noise to help me sleep at night.

And then I use this lavender essential oil in the diffuser. There are a billion essential oils to choose from but I am a huge fan of lavender and it is obviously known for its calming quality.

I’ve also talked about this diffuser in my “How to Make Your Dorm Room Feel Like a Home” post from last spring. It really does help make a space feel homey.

5. Meditate Before Bed

Meditating can look different for everyone. But I do think it is important to reflect before sleep. Reflect on your day, reflect on your gratitude. It helps you keep calm and at peace. I do this mainly through prayer. However, I also love journaling to kind of “dump my brain” on paper and write down things I am grateful for. I love this gratitude journal.

I hope that my tips help you all remain cool, calm, and collected. Deep breaths everyone!
