Sweater sets are 100% in this season! This is not the first time this trend has come around- as we know fashion always repeats itself! I can remember my mom wearing twin sweater sets growing up in the early 2000s. She always gets a kick out of when trends come back that she used to love. If she ever sees me wearing some trend that used to be a thing she will get excited and dig through her old clothes to show me! I just love that. 🙂
I do think, however, this season’s sweater sets are a little more hip, modern, and edgy. A lot of the shells are either cropped or even are a bralette. This can be fun if you want to show a little stomach- but you can always wear high-waisted bottoms or button the cardigan up if you need to!
The one I have on in todays post is from For Love and Lemons. I’m obsessed with the detail on it and the color is so perfect for fall! Its the perfect burnt orange that really blends it with the colors of the leaves these days! I paired the sweater set with my favorite high rise corduroys so that there wasn’t *too* much mid-rift shown. To keep the rest of the outfit simple I wore my staple pearl hoops and taupe suede booties.

All of these sets look so cozy while also being put together, and you know that is my mantra. 🙂 Also, most of the shells could also definitely be worn alone as tank tops. The shell with the criss-cross back is especially cute on its own!
