I said it last year and I’ll say it again- swimsuits are so dang hard to find. The cheap ones don’t last and the higher quality ones can be ridiculously expensive for a small piece of fabric. After searching and searching for the perfect in between of price and quality- while also having styles that I love and good coverage, I have narrowed my two favorite bathing suit retailers to Abercrombie and J.Crew.
I will say, I own J.Crew swimsuits that I purchased around five years ago (and have gotten plenty of wear) that are in near perfect condition! They tend to be a bit more expensive, but not nearly as much as some of the “it” swim designers like L.Space. They also all have amazing coverage if that is something you are concerned about.
I bought a good amount of Abercrombie swim last year and *most* of it has held up. I had one swimsuit that pilled and had a large pull in it by the end of the summer. However, the price point is a little lower. So- it kind of makes up for it in a price / quality equation!
The majority of the bathing suits in the round up are from J.Crew and Abercrombie, but I also shared one from Aerie and one from Goodnight Macaroon. The black one piece from GM is what I am wearing in the first image. It great quality and honestly looks designer-esque.
